Maine BMV Written Knowledge Test

This Roadwise course uses a 30-question practice test with 24 correct answers needed to pass. The format can depend on your age, license class, or application type.

The handbook does not state the official written test's item count or passing score, so this uses the best-corroborated third-party figure (two independent test-prep sites agree): 30 multiple-choice questions covering the handbook, 80% (24 correct) required to pass. Maine's format has no separately scored road-signs section, so the practice test uses one combined score.
