The format in this course
Virginia Two-Part Knowledge Exam
To pass this Roadwise simulation, answer at least 34 of 40 questions correctly and meet each scored section’s threshold. Answers and explanations appear after you finish. Unanswered questions count as incorrect.
| Section | Questions | Correct needed |
|---|---|---|
| Traffic signs (Part 1) | 10 | 10 |
| General knowledge (Part 2) | 30 | 24 |
This Roadwise practice format has no countdown, so you can take the time you need.
The handbook states you must answer all 10 part-one traffic sign questions correctly before taking part two, and must score at least 80% on part two, but does not print exact question counts. Virginia's official DMV site does not publish the counts either, so the 10-question part one / 30-question part two breakdown (40 total, 24/30 needed on part two) is taken from a well-corroborated third-party VA permit test-prep source. the minimum correct-answer count (34) is the sum of both parts' minimums; the real pass rule is two separate thresholds (10/10 on part one AND 24/30 on part two), not one overall percentage.
