The format in this course
California DMV Knowledge Test (Class C)
To pass this Roadwise simulation, answer at least 38 of 46 questions correctly. Answers and explanations appear after you finish. Unanswered questions count as incorrect.
This practice format uses one overall passing threshold, without a separately scored sign section.
This Roadwise practice format has no countdown, so you can take the time you need.
Uses the under-18 DL 5T format (46 questions, 38 correct), since most first-time applicants are provisional. Adults take 36 questions and need 30. The website's '80%' is a rounded public summary; a literal 80% (37/46) has no official support. Since Oct 1, 2024 most renewals need no knowledge test. Verified 2026-10-25.
