The format in this course
South Carolina Beginner's Permit Knowledge Test
To pass this Roadwise simulation, answer at least 24 of 30 questions correctly. Answers and explanations appear after you finish. Unanswered questions count as incorrect.
This practice format uses one overall passing threshold, without a separately scored sign section.
This Roadwise practice format has no countdown, so you can take the time you need.
The SC Driver's Manual (p.140) states the knowledge test uses randomly selected multiple-choice questions based on the manual, and its own 10-question sample uses a/b/c format, but it does not publish an official total question count or passing score. dmv.sc.gov could not be checked directly for these figures, so the 30-question / 80%-passing (24 correct) format used here is the figure corroborated by multiple independent SC permit-test prep sites. No sub-section (e.g. a separate signs test) is described anywhere, so the practice test uses one combined score.
