The format in this course
Rhode Island DMV Knowledge Exam
To pass this Roadwise simulation, answer at least 32 of 40 questions correctly. Answers and explanations appear after you finish. Unanswered questions count as incorrect.
This practice format uses one overall passing threshold, without a separately scored sign section.
The practice simulation uses a 90-minute countdown. The test clock continues while you are away from the session.
The RI handbook states the question count (40) and time limit (90 minutes) explicitly, but does not state a passing score. The 80% passing threshold (32/40) is the consistently corroborated figure across independent RI permit-test prep sites; the official dmv.ri.gov knowledge-exam page could not be checked directly for these figures, so this figure could not be confirmed directly on the state site. No sections are scored separately.
