A 2-minute lesson from the Nebraska course. Read the rules and examples, follow the handbook page references, and check your understanding before you move on.
Handicapped stalls and the aisles next to them keep access open for people who need it. Nebraska enforces them around the clock, and fines climb with each offense.
Know the rule
Handicapped parking stalls are reserved 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for vehicles displaying a handicap license plate or permit, from which the handicapped person enters or exits.
You're picking up a friend and pull into the striped aisle beside a handicapped stall "just for a minute." That's still a violation: the access aisle next to the stall must stay clear.
Check your understanding
Read the question, decide on an answer, then open it to check the explanation. These are Roadwise study questions based on the source handbook.
