A 3-minute lesson from the Wyoming course. Read the rules and examples, follow the handbook page references, and check your understanding before you move on.
New drivers take three tests: vision, written knowledge and driving skills. Know the vision standard, the retest waits and the driver-ed card that can waive the road test.
20/40
Minimum acuity with both eyes, with or without glasses
You may take the written test twice in one day. Tests are in English only; an interpreter may be used, and an oral test is available if you request it before testing.
First-time applicants who have never been licensed anywhere must pass a skills test of safe driving maneuvers. You won't be asked to do anything against the law.
Your eyes test at 20/60 with glasses. That's worse than 20/40 but at least 20/100, so you'll have to take a driving skills test. You'll also have to wear your glasses whenever you drive.
