Suspension, probation and mandatory revocation
A 3-minute lesson from the Oklahoma course. Read the rules and examples, follow the handbook page references, and check your understanding before you move on.
Some convictions don't leave Service Oklahoma any choice: state law requires revoking (withdrawing) your license. Young drivers are also on probation until 18, so even a single moving violation can cost them their license.
Know the rule
If your license is suspended or revoked, you can't apply for a new license until you are reinstated, and you can't legally drive until your license is restored. Driving on a suspended or revoked license is a serious crime with severe punishment.
A license issued to a driver under 18 is probationary: a trial period to show you can drive safely and legally. Service Oklahoma can, at its discretion, cancel or suspend it for any moving traffic violation.
A 17-year-old gets a ticket for running a stop sign. Because a license under 18 is probationary, Service Oklahoma can cancel or suspend it for that one moving violation. One ticket can take a teen off the road.
