A 3-minute lesson from the Ohio course. Read the rules and examples, follow the handbook page references, and check your understanding before you move on.
The TIPIC is Ohio's learner's permit. It lets you practice on real roads, but only with the right adult beside you and under strict rules that apply at every age.
Identity you must prove (from the Acceptable Documents List):
Full legal name
Date of birth
Social Security number (if assigned)
Citizenship or legal presence
Ohio street address (two documents for a federally-compliant card)
You're 17 and it's 12:30 a.m. Your 25-year-old licensed cousin offers to ride with you. Between midnight and 6 a.m. only a parent, guardian or custodian with a valid license can supervise, so your cousin can't — but at 11 p.m. the cousin would have been fine.
Check your understanding
