A 3-minute lesson from the Ohio course. Read the rules and examples, follow the handbook page references, and check your understanding before you move on.
If you're under 21, Ohio won't license you until you've finished a driver education course and logged practice hours. Temporary residents 21 and older follow a nearly identical path, with one big difference in how long they hold the permit.
Under 21, the 50 practice hours are logged with an eligible licensed driver as described in the TIPIC restrictions; temporary residents log them with a licensed driver age 21 or older.
A motorcycle license or endorsement is earned by passing a motorcycle skills test at a Driver Exam Station or by completing the Motorcycle Ohio Basic Riding Skills Course.
You're 19 and just got your TIPIC. You don't have to wait six months, but you must still finish 24 hours of class, 8 hours of driving with a school, and 50 logged hours (10 at night) before you can be licensed.
