A 3-minute lesson from the Ohio course. Read the rules and examples, follow the handbook page references, and check your understanding before you move on.
Not everyone passes the skills test the first time. What happens next depends on your age: younger drivers just wait, while adults 21 and older usually must take a short training course before trying again.

How long applicants under 21 must wait before retesting after a failed driving test
An applicant 21 or older who fails the maneuverability or road skills portion must take an Abbreviated Adult Driver Training Course before a second attempt.
Exception: if you completed an approved driver education course within one year before testing, you don't need the abbreviated course — but you must show proof before testing a second time.
You're 30, fail the on-road portion, and pick the online course plus 24 hours with your licensed spouse. Even if you're free all weekend, you can log at most 4 hours a day, so plan for at least 6 days of driving before retesting.
