Military members and dependents living with them, stationed outside Utah, may use a Utah license that was valid when they entered service until 90 days after discharge or end of orders. The same 90 days applies to Defense or State Department civilians working abroad.
A replacement license requires passing an eye exam and taking a new photo. To change the address on it, bring two approved address documents and pay the fee.
Good driver program: if you have no more than six reportable violations in the past eight years and a valid license, you get an extension (online renewal) notice by mail about 90 days before your birthday.
The post office does not forward mail from the Driver License Division. To get your new address printed on the card, schedule a replacement appointment.
You're 30 and your license expires on your birthday in October. You can renew as early as April. The new license will run to your birthday eight years later.
