Police can stop you at any time to inspect your vehicle, and the equipment must meet Florida's standards. Most are distances: how far your lights must reach, how far they must be seen, and how far your horn must be heard.

Know the rule

Your car must have two braking systems, each able to stop it alone. The parking or emergency brake should hold the car on any hill.
