A 3-minute lesson from the Arkansas course. Read the rules and examples, follow the handbook page references, and check your understanding before you move on.
Before your written test can begin, the examiner checks identity documents. Adults and minors follow different checklists, and photocopies, scans and laminated papers are not accepted.
Know the rule
Applicants over 18 need two primary documents, OR one primary and one secondary document.
Applicants under 18 must bring an original or certified U.S. birth certificate; hospital birth certificates and birth registration cards are not accepted, and a U.S.-citizen minor can't use a U.S. passport as the primary document.
You're 16 and your stepfather drives you to the test. He can sign for you only if he brings adoption court documents and his driver's license or state ID. Otherwise your parent must come, or sign an ASP-33.
