Two-wheelers have their own license classes in Arkansas, sized by age and engine displacement. Every applicant for any license or permit must also pass a vision test.
Two-wheeler licenses
| Class | Ages | What you may ride |
|---|---|---|
| Class M (Motorcycle) | 16 and older | Any motorcycle (non-restricted) |
| Class MD (Motor-driven cycle) | 14 to 16 | Motorcycles of 250 cc or less |
| Motorized Bicycle (MB) Certificate | 14 to 16 | Motorized bicycle or motorcycle of 50 cc or less |
Know the rule
Class M with no driver's license: pass a driver's license knowledge exam, a motorcycle knowledge exam, a vision test and a motorcycle skills exam. With a valid Class D: motorcycle knowledge exam, vision test and motorcycle skills exam.

Applicants from countries with a reciprocal agreement are exempt from testing and are referred to the Department of Finance and Administration.
Handbook p. 17 ↗Put it into practice
You're 15 and want to ride a 150 cc scooter. A Motorized Bicycle Certificate only covers 50 cc or less, so you need a Class MD license, which allows up to 250 cc.
