A Driver Authorization Card (DAC) lets you drive legally without a Social Security Number. It follows the same rules as a license, but it is only a driving privilege — it isn't an identity document.
4 years
How long a DAC is valid; it expires on your birthday
A DAC is not valid for federal or state identification and can't be used to determine eligibility for any State of Nevada benefits, licenses or services.
DAC applicants must prove a Nevada residential address at original issuance. Otherwise, all rules for a license or instruction permit also apply to a DAC.
Luis has a Mexican Federal Electoral Card and a passport from Mexico, but no Social Security Number. Those two documents qualify him for a DAC. He must carry it whenever he drives and renew it in person every 4 years.
